FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Every week, only the best plays make it on the Highlight Zone, but only one can be dubbed the Play of the Week.

In the sectional semifinals, the Play of the Week comes from Marion.  Leo defensive back Kyle Santilli intercepts a pass near the goal line and returns it 101 yards for the touchdown as the Lions routed Marion 42-22 to advance to the sectional championship game where they will face Bishop Dwenger.

The Play of the Week from the opening round of sectionals comes from Zollner Stadium.  On third-and-30, Michael Hicks broke off a 90-yard touchdown run to put Concordia up 13-0 over Whitko.  Unfortunately the Cadets would lose on a late field goal by the Wildcats, 18-15.

The final Play of the Week of the regular season goes to Bishop Luers' Jaylon Smith.  The junior running back scored two touchdowns as the Knights wrapped up their first SAC title since 2001 with a 26-15 victory over Bishop Dwenger snapping a 6-game losing streak in the Battle of the Bishops.

An instant classic at Spuller Stadium get the Highlight Zone Play of the Week as Snider beat Bishop Dwenger 42-41 in overtime.  The Panthers blocked the Saints extra point in overtime.  Snider then scored and Joshua Spitnale kicked the extra point to seal the win as Snider won for the first time since 2006 over Bishop Dwenger.

A kicker gets the Play of the Week in the seventh week when Homestead's Nolan McMahon booted a 56-yard field goal in the Spartans' 31-10 win over Carroll to remain undefeated on the season.  The field goal is the longest in school history.

The Play of the Week for the sixth week comes from Bishop Luers senior quarterback James Knapke.  Knapke connected with Jaylon Smith for his second touchdown pass of the game in the first quarter, but more importantly Knapke became the SAC career touchdown passes record holder with the score.  Knapke passes former Knights QB Kyle Lindsay as well, so Knapke becomes Bishop Luers' all-time career touchdown passes leader, too.

Week five's Play of the Week came in the final seconds as Northrop's Kalan Adams raced 65 yards down the sideline for the game-winning touchdown as the Bruins picked up their first win of the season defeating South Side, 21-14.

The Play of the Week from week four comes from Carroll.  Chargers quarterback Grant Wilson shakes-and-bakes to score the game-winning touchdown as Carroll knocked off previously undefeated New Haven, 17-14.

The best play of week three comes from Bluffton.  South Adams cornerback Marcus Rich caught a tipped pass, managed to stay on his feet and returned an interception 41 yards as the Starfires moved to 3-0 on the season with a 32-13 win over the Tigers.

Week two's Play of the Week comes from the Battle of Spuller Stadium.  After handing the ball off to John Nelson, Snider quarterback Brandon Phelps sticks with the play long enough to recover Nelson's fumble in the end zone, ripping the ball away from a South Side defender for a touchdown.

For the first week, Bishop Luers junior running back Jaylon Smith busts a long touchdown run as the Knights opened the season with a 32-21 win over Snider.
