Hicksville's dream season came to an end Friday night as the Aces lost to Coldwater in the Division 5 semi-finals in Lima 41-21.
Coldwater would score on its first possession by way of a short touchdown from Jordan Chapin.
Hicksville's Justin Miller would score on a quarterback keeper in the first quarter to knot the game at seven.
Chapin would score again in the first quarter to make it 14-7.
A long pass from Coldwater's Austin Bruns to Josh Huber would set up another Chapin touchdown in the fourth, bringin the lead to 21-7.
Bruns would hit Calb Siefring for a score later in the second als Coldwater scored on its first four possession to take a 28-7 lead at half.
The loss ends Hicksville's 11-game winning streak. Hicksville's last loss came in week two of the regular season against this same Coldwater team.
The Aces end the year 11-3 under coach Lucas Smith. By advancing to semi-state they tie the 2004 Aces for the deepest playoff run in program history.
