FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Two local teams will be playing for a state championship next week as Snider and Bishop Luers brought home semi-state titles on Friday night.
At Wayne high school the Panthers earned their first semi-state championship since 2004 as Snider held off Merrillville 42-39.
Snider will now face no. 1 Lawrence Central in the 5A state title game Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Bishop Luers topped Andrean 35-21 as the Knights won their 23rd-straight game in the postseason.
The Knights will face Indianapolis Ritter next Friday at 7 p.m. as Luers looks to win the program's fourth-straight 2A title.
