FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Bishop Dwenger's improbable postseason run came to an end in the regional finals on Friday night as the Saints were ousted by Concord 35-21.
The Minutemen got huge efforts on the ground from quarterback Trevor Wilmore and running back DuWhan Alford who combined for five touchdowns. Wilmore scored three times, including a 78-yard run in the first quarter to tie the game at seven.
The Saints relied heavily on the back of junior running back Ryan Cinadr who accounted for all three Dwenger touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air.
Concord advances to face Mishawaka next week in semi-state. Bishop Dwenger finishes the season with a 6-7 record.
