FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - It is the final week of the regular season for high school football in Indiana and many conference titles are still up for grabs around northeast Indiana.
In the ACAC Garrett travels to Heritage this Friday. Following last Friday's 20-6 win over Leo the Railroaders can clinch the ACAC title outright with a win. If Heritage wins and Leo beats Bluffton then the Patriots, Lions, and Railroaders will share the conference title with each team posting just one loss in conference.
In NHC action Homestead can win the title outright with a win against New Haven following New Haven's 17-0 loss to East Noble last week. A win by the Bulldogs and the Bullies and Spartans would share the title.
In the NECC it is a "winner takes all" scenario when Churubusco hosts Lakeland. Both teams are 7-0 in conference with Busco coming off a 29-23 win over Fairfield last week.
In addition to these matchups The News-Sentinel sports editor Tom Davis and WANE sports director Glenn Marini discuss some of the top games in round one of sectional play as the sectional draw was just released by the IHSAA on Sunday.
