AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Auburn's coaching staff approaches spring practice with plenty of question marks. One that likely won't be fully resolved this spring is who's the starting quarterback for next season. Returning passers Kiehl Frazier and Jonathan Wallace will be joined by three signees in preseason camp, taking it from a two-man race to a five-quarterback derby.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Meighan Simmons scored 24 points and Cierra Burdick had a double-double Thursday night as Tennessee trounced Auburn 83-61 to remain in sole possession of first place in the Southeastern Conference. Simmons had 11 points in the first 8 minutes and made three 3-pointers in a 67-second span early in the game.

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Elfrid Payton scored 23 points, hitting 9 of 9 free throws, as Louisiana-Lafayette held off Troy 76-66 Thursday night. The Ragin' Cajuns split the season series, denying Trojans coach Don Maestri his 500th career win for the second straight game. Troy won 71-52 on Feb. 2.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Bruce Massey scored 12 points and four others reached double figures as Middle Tennessee clobbered South Alabama 85-50 Thursday night for its second consecutive Sun Belt Conference regular season title. The Blue Raiders also clinched the top seed in the Sun Belt tournament.
