INDIANAPOLIS - According to a story from the Indianapolis Star defensive end Cory Redding has been fined by the NFL for a hit on Packers running back Cedric Benson.
The hit took place early in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Redding was penalized for a late hit when his helmet collided with Benson's helmet after Benson had already been tackled.
Redding told the Star his fine was "about half" of the standard $15,000 fine the NFL has levied in the past for similar offenses.
