WBB: Hyde Wins Summit League POTW

The Summit League announced that Amanda Hyde has been named Player of the Week for her performances Dec. 24-30.

Hyde earns her second Player of the Week honor this season after helping IPFW to a 1-1 record on the opening weekend of league play. Against IUPUI Friday, the junior guard scored a game-high 30 points on 8-of-13 shooting with three steals and three rebounds.

In the win over Western Illinois Sunday, she tallied 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists and had two steals.

For the week, Hyde averaged 27.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, four assists and 2.5 steals per contest. She shot 65 percent (17-of-26) from the field, 50 percent (4-of-8) from behind the arc and 85 percent (17-of-20) from the line. Hyde has scored 20 or more points in six games this season.
