Report: Irish QB Kiel To Transfer

SOUTH BEND, IN. - According to reports from Irish Sports Daily and ESPN, Notre Dame quarterback Gunner Kiel is expected to transfer.

A four-star quarterback and son of former Notre Dame quarterback Blair Kiel, Gunner Kiel originally committed to both Indiana and LSU, before finally settling on the Irish. He redshirted during Notre Dame's run to the 2013 BCS National Championship Game.

Irish Illustrated (part of the Rivals network) is reporting that Ball State, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois and Cincinnati are all possible destinations for Kiel.
