MISHAWAKA, IN. - It appears Mishawaka Marian senior Demetrius Jackson will continue his basketball career in his own backyard. According to a report from ESPN's Dave Telep, Jackson will announce late Thursday afternoon that he will accept a scholarship offer to play at Notre Dame.

Jackson is rated as one of the top-20 seniors in the nation and considered one of the top point guards in his class. Both Illinois and Kansas had reportedly been in the final mix before Jackson opted to play for Mike Brey and the Irish. He is expected to officially make his announcement at 5 p.m. ET live on ESPNU.
