BELLEVILLE, ILL. (WANE) - No. 6 Saint Francis closed out the regular season in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon - routing first-year program Lindenwood-Belleville 44-7. The Cougars totaled 386 yards of offense, led by 128 and two scores on the ground from Antoin Campbell. David Yoder - who got the start at quarterback for the injured Josh Miller - completed 16-of-30 passes for 144 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
The Cougar defense which has been particularly stout over the last three games, held LU-Belleville to just 174 yards of total offense, while forcing four turnovers.
The win all but guarantees Saint Francis a first-round home game in the NAIA national playoffs. The pairings will be announced Sunday afternoon.
