FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) - It's been a mixed two weeks of practices for Saint Francis. Players say the last minute loss to then No. 20 Saint Ambrose two weeks ago was a major wake-up call. Efforts have been doubled on the practice field, focus has intensified, the Cougars realize just how vulnerable their season can be.

Then there's the excitement and anticipation for Saturday night's homecoming game against Concordia.

USF will play its first ever game under the lights at Bishop D'Arcy stadium in front of what is expected to be a near capacity crowd. It's a big night for the program and simply put - a rare night for the program. The Cougars have played just seven night games in their history - and for what its worth, they've won all seven. That doesn't figure to change this weekend.

Saint Francis stomped Concordia 69-0 last season in the only other meeting between the two schools. The Cardinals are in just their second year of existence and are 0-3 entering the week, but the Cougars aren't taking anyone lightly. Concordia has had a tremendous amount of turnover on the roster and players point specifically to a revamped defense.

Adding further weight to this weeks game is the impending record breaking win for head coach Kevin Donley. After a USF bye week and a win by North Dakota based Dickinson State last Saturday, there is now a three-way tie between Donley, DSU's Hank Biesiot and previous record holder Frosty Westering at 256 wins each. The race to 257 is on and the Cougars are making it their mission to make sure their coach reaches the milestone first.
