CHICAGO - The expectations in West Lafayette are as high as they've ever been in the Danny Hope era as the Boilers are looking to take another big step in 2012.
Purdue is coming off a 7-6 season that saw the Boilers win the Little Caeser's Pizza Bowl. The Boilers also return a Big Ten-leading 19 starters from 2011.
Among those starters is perhaps the conference's top defensive player in lineman Kawann Short, who bypassed the NFL to return to Purdue. Offensively, the Boilers return three quarterbacks with starting experience - Caleb TerBush, Robert Marve, and Rob Henry.
The Boilers open the season September 1st at home against Eastern Kentucky. Purdue then hits the road week two for a date with Notre Dame.
