FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Following a 22-17 win over Baker last Saturday the Saint Francis football program has earned another shot at in-state rival Marian as the Cougars will hit the road to face the Knights in the second round of the NAIA playoffs on Saturday.
USF goes in ranked no. 6 in the latest NAIA poll. Marian is ranked fifth.
It'll be the first time the two teams have faced each other in post-season play, but will be the seventh time the programs have met. The Knights have won the last two meetings, including a 45-38 win at St.Vincent Health Field on Oct. 13.
Kick is set for 1 p.m. Saturday in Indianapolis.
