Indiana, Ohio State and Wisconsin Earn Weekly Awards

Co-Player of the Week

Cody Zeller, Indiana

F – 7-0 – So. – Washington, Ind. – Washington

· Averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 3.0 steals and 1.5 assists per game as the fifth-ranked Hoosiers beat Penn State and No. 8/10 Minnesota to improve to 3-0 in Big Ten play

· Recorded 15 points with five boards, four steals, a pair of blocks and an assist against the Nittany Lions

· Had 18 points on 75 percent shooting, six rebounds, four blocks, two steals and two assists versus the nationally ranked Golden Gophers

· Sealed the win against Minnesota by deflecting a missed free throw into the hands of teammate Jordan Hulls, who was then fouled and sunk both of his shots

· Collects his first career Player of the Week honor after earning seven Freshman of the Week selections last season

· Last Indiana Player of the Week: Christian Watford (Dec. 12, 2011)

Deshaun Thomas, Ohio State

G/F – 6-7 – Jr. – Fort Wayne, Ind. – Bishop Luers

· Averaged 21 points in a road win against Purdue followed by a victory against previously unbeaten and second-ranked Michigan

· Tallied 22 points, seven rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist against the Boilermakers

· Recorded 20 points, four boards, an assist and a steal versus the nationally ranked Wolverines

· Shot 51.6 percent from the field, including 50 percent from three-point range and is the Big Ten’s leading scorer

· Earns his second Player of the Week award of the season and the third of his career

Freshman of the Week

Sam Dekker, Wisconsin

F – 6-7 – Sheboygan, Wis. – Sheboygan Lutheran

· Scored 13 points on 55.6 percent shooting as Wisconsin defeated No. 12/13 Illinois to remain undefeated in Big Ten play at 3-0

· Added four rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes of play

· Currently ranks fourth on the team with 9.3 points and is also averaging 3.5 rebounds per contest

· Earns his first career weekly honor
