SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WANE) - Notre Dame continues to be one of the tougher teams in the country to beat at home as the Irish topped eighth-ranked Kentucky 64-50 Thursday night at the Joyce Center as part of the SEC/Big East Challenge.
The Irish led 36-25 at half and didn't let the Wildcats get close.
Eric Atkins led the way with 16 points while Jerian Grant added 13. Jack Cooley recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Notre Dame improves to 7-1 this season and 6-0 at home.
