TULSA, Okla. - Dominique Morrison scored 27 points Thursday night to pace Oral Roberts to its 10th straight victory with a 65-54 win over IPFW.
Morrison went 8 of 15 from the field, including 3 of 7 from 3-point range, and sank 8 of 9 free throws for the Golden Eagles (17-4, 9-0), who increased their Summit League lead over idle South Dakota State to a game and a half. Michael Craion added 10 points.
Frank Gaines scored 17 and Trey McCorkle 11 for the Mastodons (9-9, 3-6), who lost their third in a row.
IPFW led by 10 in the first half and was up 35-32 early in the second. But Oral Roberts ran off seven straight points -- four from Morrison and three from Craion -- to forge a 39-35 lead with 13:42 left.
McCorkle trimmed it to 39-37, but Morrison scored six straight points, and the Golden Eagles cruised home.
