KENDALLVILLE, Ind. - Hear Former Purdue Basketball Coach Gene Keady talk about his epic battles against IU coach Bobby Knight at this year's Kendallville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet on April 18.
Hear stories about one of Keady's best players, Kendallville native Brad Miller who just completed a successful NBA career where he was a two-time All Star.
"We're honored to have Coach Keady in Kendallville. He's one of the best basketball coaches in Indiana, ever," according to Chamber Executive Director Mike Walton. "Five lucky ticket holders will get to meet Gene Keady and have their photo taken with him, and autographed!"
Kendallville Chamber welcomes Keady as guest speaker at the Kendallville Convention Center. Tickets are available from the Chamber, 877-347-1554 or 260-347-1554, and discounted until March 18. The dinner is the Chamber's major fundraiser of the year.
Keady's Boilermakers are one of the most successful Big Ten basketball programs in history. Keady has notched 505 victories. Purdue's all-time winningest coach. With six Big Ten championships and six national coach of the year awards (second-most by any coach), his record speaks for itself. He is the Big Ten's third-winningest coach all-time by percentage (.661), and is second in victories (262). Keady's holds six national coach of the year awards, and has led Purdue to six Big Ten championships
