Fort Wayne’s Emily Spencer and North Dakota State’s Megan Lambertson were named The Summit League’s Offensive Players of the Week, while North Dakota State’s Andrea Henning received Defensive Volleyball Player of the Week, for their performances Nov.5-11. The selections mark the final awards of the 2012 season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Emily Spencer, Fort Wayne

Spencer captures her second career Offensive Player of the Week award and second of the season after recording two double-digit kill performances and a .300 hitting percentage or better in both matches to end the regular season. The sophomore outside hitter tallied 16 kills and only two errors in 28 attempts for a .500 clip in a sweep of WIU. She came back the next match and posted 26 kills and 14 digs for her 18 th double-double of the season in the five-set loss to IUPUI. For the week, Spencer collected 42 kills, averaging 5.25 per set, a .366 hitting percentage, 22 digs (2.75 per set), seven blocks (0.88 per set), two service aces, one assist and 48.5 points (6.1 per set).
Megan Lambertson, North Dakota State

Lambertson earns her fourth career Offensive Player of the Week honor and second of the season after nearly going error free at the net against SDSU. The Litchfield, Minn., native recorded 18 kills and only two errors in 37 attempts in the four-set victory over the Jackrabbits, marking her 11 th-straight match of double-digit kills. On the week, Lamberston posted a .432 clip with 18 kills, averaging 4.50 per set, six blocks (1.50 per set), eight digs (2.00 per set), one assist and 21.5 points (5.4 per set). She ends the regular season with a league-best hitting percentage overall (.379) and in league play (.399)

Henning collects her second career Defensive Player of the week award and second-straight this season after setting the North Dakota State record for digs in a four-set match with 39 in the victory over SDSU. Her 39 digs also marks the second-most digs in a match in NDSU program history and moved her into fourth place in the Bison record book for career digs with 1, 508. For the week, Henning tallied 39 digs, averaging 9.75 per set, over three digs per set more than the NCAA leader’s average, six assists and one service ace.
