IPFW Teams Ready For Season

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The IPFW basketball programs are both ready for the season as the Mastodons held their annual preseason lucheon Friday in downtown Fort Wayne.

The men's team opens the slate on Monday with an exhibition game against Alma at 7 p.m.

The women get things going with their opener Sunday, Nov. 11 at home against SIU-Edwardsville.

The IPFW men were picked sixth out of nine teams in the Summit League preseason poll. Senior guard Frank Gaines was selected as a preseason all-league first team.

The IPFW women were picked eighth in the preseason poll.
