FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons have drawn the Bowling Green Falcons of the Mid American Conference in the Ramada Worldwide Bracketbuster, as this 2013 version of the Bracketbuster will be the final one in the program's history.
The game will be played on Saturday, February 23 in a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
Bowling Green currently has an 8-13 record, and is 3-5 in the Mid-American Conference this season. The teams have three common opponents from this season, IUPUI, Eastern Michigan and Miami (Ohio). Against those three teams, IPFW is 2-2 this season, while Bowling Green is 1-2.
Leading the way for Bowling Green are a pair of seniors, Jordan Crawford and A'uston Calhoun. Crawford leads the pair in scoring 15.9-to-15.5, while Chauncey Orr averages 7.4. Calhoun leads the team with a 7.7 rebound per game average, while Crawford has dished out 83 assists, more than three times more than any other player on the squad.
The Mastodons are currently 10-14 on the season and are led by Frank Gaines who sits 26th in the country in scoring, averaging 19.0 points per game, and was recently named the Co-Summit League Player of the Week.
