Tech's Hamilton named All-American

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2009 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All-America Teams, as selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.

Azusa Pacific's Jill Baker becomes just the second player in the Cougar volleyball program's history to earn the distinction of NAIA Player of the Year. Azusa Pacific's other Player of the Year was Lenee Hill in 1991.

Baker helped lead the Cougars to a 28-9 record and its second-straight national championship appearance. She finishes her career averaging 4.49 kills per came and had 597 kills this season.

Fresno Pacific head coach Dennis Janzen was named the 2009 NAIA Coach of the Year after guiding the Sunbirds to their third consecutive National Championship. It is the fourth time in his 19-year tenure that Janzen has won the award, previously being named Coach of the Year in 1989, 1994 and 2007.
