Indiana and Michigan Earn Big Ten Weekly Awards
Michigan’s Hardaway named Player of the Week; Hoosiers’ Ferrell tabbed Freshman of the Week
Player of the Week
Tim Hardaway Jr., Michigan
G – Jr. – 6-6 – Miami, Fla. – Palmetto Senior
· Became the 46th player in school history to score 1,000 career points, putting up 25 in Michigan’s 100-62 win over Slippery Rock
· Went 8-for-10 from the field, including 5-for-5 from long range, tying his career best for three pointers in a game
· Dished out three assists and pulled down 10 rebounds to record his fourth career double-double
· Earns his second career Player of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell
G – 6-0 – Indianapolis, Ind. – Park Tudor
· Scored 10 points in his collegiate debut, helping Indiana to a 97-54 win over Bryant
· Recorded seven assists, five rebounds, one block and one steal in 24 minutes of action
· Began the season in the Indiana starting lineup, marking the sixth straight season at least one freshman has started in the Hoosiers’ season opener
· Last Indiana Freshman of the Week: Cody Zeller (March 5, 2012)
