FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - It was a successful day in Northeast Indiana for area men's basketball teams as all the local teams picked up home wins.

At Saint Francis, the 21st-ranked Cougars outscored Bethel 62-33 in the second half en route to a 108-72 win.  Ethan Hussey led USF with 24 points.  Scott Kohne chipped in 14 while Kevin Bloom had 12 and Q Owens and Kevin Dawson each added 11.  The win was the fifth straight for Saint Francis.

Behind an impressive 21 point, 22 rebound performance from reigning NAIA Player of the Week Rodney Bartholomew, #20 Indiana Tech beat defending national champion Cornerstone, 70-67.  The Warriors also got 20 points from Antonio Cannon and 16 points from James Hickman.

Huntington stepped out of conference Saturday notching a win over Mount Vernon Nazarene, 90-67.  Caleb Kennedy led the Foresters with 24 points.  Nick Teeter poured in 17 points for Huntington while Ryan Boester added 16.

In Indianapolis, Frank Gaines shot at the buzzer was off the mark as IPFW fell to IUPUI 66-63.  The loss is the third straight for the Mastodons who drop to 10-13 overall, 4-10 in the Summit League.  Trey McCorkle had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead IPFW.

The IPFW women also lost to Jaguars Saturday, 76-62.  The Mastodons fifth straight loss drops them to 7-16 overall, 4-8 in the Summit League.
