USF, Tech men, Huntington women pick up wins

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - In men's college basketball Saturday, second place in the MCC was on the line at the Hutzell Athletic Center.  Saint Francis led by 13 at the half and managed to hold off a determined Goshen squad, 69-66.  The Cougars remain in second place in the MCC with the win.  Ethan Hussey led USF with 20 points.

For IPFW, the score pretty much speaks for itself as the Mastodons fell to South Dakota State 74-43.  The Mastodons struggled offensively shooting just over 32% for the game going just 2-17 from three-point range.  Marion Hines led IPFW with 12 points.

Indiana Tech got 22 points and 14 rebounds from Rodney Bartholomew as the Warriors knocked off the University of Northwestern Ohio, 81-70.

On the women's side, Huntington overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to beat Grace 60-54.  Lauren Meese and Pazia Speed each had 14 points for the Foresters.

Indiana Tech trailed by 10 at the half and the deficit only grew in the second half as the Warriors fell to the University of Northwestern Ohio 70-53.  Brittnay Jones had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead Tech.

IPFW dropped a third straight game losing at home to South Dakota State 76-66.  Stephanie Rosado had 21 points to lead the Mastodons' attack.
