NORTHFIELD, IN. - It took just over two weeks, but the Northfield baseball team finally gathered to celebrate its 2A baseball state championship Sunday night.

The Norsemen gathered at the high school to take team photos, sign autographs and bask in the glow of their dominating season. The top ranked team in the state polls entering the playoffs, Northfield never looked back, riding the arm of ace pitcher Ryan Keaffaber who capped his season with a perfect 16-0 record on the mound.

Northfield could be in line for another deep postseason run in 2013 as well, as they return a large portion of this years championship roster.
