NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) - Coming off an 8-3 season with 14 starters returning the hopes are high for the New Haven football program in 2012.
In his 12th year head coach Jim Rowland is looking to keet the momentum rolling for the Bulldogs. New Haven has won a total of 17 games over the last two seasons. However, a big key to that success was 5,000-yard rusher Te'Vaughn Hurse, who has since graduated. Also gone is quarterback Lydell Trainor, linebacker Andrew Hoffer, and defensive back Caleb Heckley. Anthony Moore will be NH's starting quarterback while Kevin Ware will take over at QB.
The Bulldogs open the 2012 season next Friday at Heritage.
