FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) - Carroll got all it could handle from Snider on Saturday night at Northrop High School, but the Chargers survived their first big test to claim a 4A Sectional title in five sets. Carroll claimed set one of the match, but the action would see-saw all night before culminating with a 15-10 win in the decisive set. The Chargers will face Huntington North in regionals after the Vikings swept sectional host South Side.
Across town, Concordia made quick work of Woodlan on the Cadets home court to advance to 3A regionals. Concordia got a big effort from Tiana Williams who finished with a match-best 20 kills, including a pair of decisive ones in the final set. Bellmont claimed a sectional title as well in 3A with a 3-1 win over Mississinewa at Norwell.
In Class A action, Blackhawk Christian defeated Lakewood Park Christian in straight sets at Blackhawk to capture a sectional crown of their own.
