FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) - The Northrop trio of Bryson Scott, Brenton Scott and Tyler Huth wasted little time on national signing day - inking their national letters of intent shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Bryson Scott - a top 100 basketball player in the Class of 2013 according to Rivals - officially signed with Purdue after committing to the Boilermakers in November of 2010 as a sophomore. He begins his senior season as one of the heavy favorites to take home Indiana's Mr. Basketball award.
Bryson's twin brother - Brenton - will also play Division 1 basketball in the Hoosier State - signing to play with Indiana State. The point guard waited a little bit longer to make his decision, committing to the Sycamores this past March following a junior season in which he averaged 16 points per game. IPFW and Ball State had also heavily recruited the senior.
Bruins ace pitcher Tyler Huth will play baseball in the Big Ten, also choosing Purdue. The 6-foot-6 senior was a dominant presence on the mound for Northrop last season and will have one last chance to guide the Bruins deep into the state tournament this spring before heading to West Lafayette.
