HKY: Homestead, Carroll Off To State

FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) - Homestead and Carroll will play for state championships next weekend in South Bend.

Both teams finished state round robin play 2-0-1 to advance to the state finals, Homestead in 4A and Carroll in 3A. The Spartans defeated Marian 2-1 in their finale on Sunday afternoon, while the Chargers dispatched of Munster 7-2 in their third game.

Leo finished with a 2-0-1 mark as well but lost out on a tie breaker.

Snider was the only other area team to finish with a winning mark - the Panthers went 2-1.
