FORT WAYNE, IN. - Concordia football head coach Tim Mannigel says he is instilling a new culture in his program this fall - a winning one. The Cadets are coming off a 1-9 season, but could have easily ended up with four wins had they made key plays down the stretch.
In order to take that next step, Concordia will need a big year from new starting quarterback David Morrison who replaces the graduated Tanner Spencer. The junior will be surrounded by a wealth of experience however. The Cadets return four starting offensive lineman, standout wide receiver Marq Rogers and the X-factor, Bryndon Williams. Williams missed all of last season with a torn ACL, but after a 1,000 yard sophomore season two years ago, is drawing interest from several Division 1 programs. He could be primed for a major senior campaign.
Concordia will be tested from the season opener when they travel to face a North Side team that surprised a year ago.
