FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) - The Canterbury boys tennis team took another step towards becoming the first Fort Wayne program - boys or girls - to ever win a team state championship. The Cavaliers disposed of Angola 4-1 in their semi-state match Saturday morning at Homestead High School. The latest win runs Canterbury's record to a perfect 19-0 for the season.
The Cavs will now face North Central (18-1) out of Indianapolis in the state quarterfinals on Friday in Carmel. North Central swept Delta in their semi-state match 5-0.
