BRADENTON, FL. - The AWP Sports 7-on-7 football team based out of Fort Wayne saw their run at the IMG Nationals come to an end in the quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon. AWP lost to South Florida Express Elite 21-20. In all, the team posted a 5-2 mark in the double elimination tournament portion of the event.

AWP went 2-2 during preliminary play yesterday, both losses coming against top ranked teams out of Florida. After losing their opening round tournament game to California bases Pro Sports last night, the team rebounded with a strong run on Sunday, including three straight wins to advance to the quarters.

The team is made up of elite high school football players from northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, including Bishop Luers linebacker Jaylon Smith and Homestead wide receiver Isaac Griffith.
