NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) - New Haven's V.J. Beachem made good on his verbal commitment to the Notre Dame basketball program on Wednesday as the 6-foot-8 wing player signed with the Irish.
Beachem committed to Notre Dame in October of 2011 . Wednesday was the first day high school seniors could sign letters of intent.
Beachem picked Notre Dame over offers from Purdue, Minnesota and Butler.
V.J. is ranked as the 85th-best recruit in the country for the class of 2013 by recruiting website Rivals.com. He averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists for New Haven high school.
