Harding's senior Roderick Smith officially became an Ohio State Buckeye Wednesday morning, signing his letter of intent to play for OSU.
Smith is considered by many recruiting websites to be Ohio State's top recruit this year. At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds Smith has great size for a running back - similar to the mold of former OSU stars Eddie George and Chris Wells.
Smith picked OSU over offers from Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, and Purdue. Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee were also reportedly interested.
Smith finishes his career at Harding as the Summit Athletic League's leading career rusher. He carried 291 times for 1,869 yards and 19 touchdowns in his senior season alone.
