Klay Fiechter will continue his football career in the state's capital, as the Norwell senior signed a full football scholarship to the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday morning.

“I am excited to have made my decision where I am going to continue my education. U of I is a great fit for me," Fiechter said. "The football program is really heading in the right direction with new Head Coach Bob Bartolomeo. U of I is close to home so my family can attend my games. I will be starting out at running back but may switch to defensive back.”

Fiechter rushed for 2,126 yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior.

Klay is the son of Kevin Fiechter and Kim Fiechter both of Bluffton.

Klay joins three other former Norwell football players who played and lettered for University of Indianapolis. Jim Patten, Brandon Neuenschwander and Matt Michuda.
