FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Bishop Luers has a new but familiar face heading the football program as Kyle Lindsay recently was named head coach of the Knights.

Lindsay graduated from Bishop Luers as the SAC's all-time passing leader, only to be passed by his protege James Knapke in the fall of 2011.

Lindsay has been on staff at Luers for the past six seasons as an assistant, serving as the team's offensive coordinator the past four years. Luers has won four consecutive state championships in 2A, but will move up to 3A this fall.

Kyle Lindsay is the son of former Luers head coach Matt Lindsay. Matt Lindsay was fired four games into the 2012 football season for inappropriate videos on his school computer. Matt Lindsay faces no criminal charges.
