GVB: Carroll Wins Sectional Opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Sectional volleyball play began Tuesday night with a handful of matches around northeast Indiana.
In 4A sectional 5 action at Northrop it was Carroll swept Northrop 3-0. The Chargers advance to the sectional semifinals on Satuday morning. Carroll was led by Charlotte Conser with 11 kills. The Chargers are now 24-8 on the season. Becca Pruden led Northrop with eight kills.
In 1A sectional play at Blackhawk Christian it was Blackhawk over Lakeland Christian 3-0 and Canterbury swept Howe 3-0. Blackhawk and Canterbury will now face each other in the semifinals Saturday at 11 a.m.
