FRANKLIN, Ind. (WANE) - East Noble standout Katie Sharp is in second place at the girls state golf tournament after one round of play in Franklin.
Sharp shot a two-under-par 70 Friday. She's one shot behind Chesterton's Kelly Grassel heading into tomorrow's second and final round.
Sharp has been near the top of the leaderboard before. The Michigan State recruit finished second at state as a sophomore and 11th as a junior.
Other local individuals include Manchester's Lindsey Budnik who tied for 52nd at +13 and Concordia's Melissa Greener who was tied for 55th at +14.
No local teams qualified for state.
