GARRETT, Ind. (WANE) - After 11 years as the head football coach at East Noble Chris DePew is heading back to his alma mater by agreeing to become Garrett's head football coach and athletic director.

The school board approved the move Monday afternoon.

"I always said I would leave East Noble only if it was the absolute perfect situation," DePew told WANE-TV. "This was that perfect situation."

"I'm from here, my wife's from here, I live here, I have three kids in the Garrett school system. This is home."

DePew went 77-41 with the Knights and led them to four NHC titles. He also guided East Noble to state in 2003.
