BSOC: DeKalb Readies For 1st Semi-State

WATERLOO, Ind. (WANE) - The Barons won the program's first-ever regional title this past Saturday at Carroll by beating Bishop Dwenger 2-1. In the regional semifinals on Thursday DeKalb advanced by topping NHC rival Homestead 2-0.

The Barons now will play at semi-state on Saturday in Warsaw. The Barons (18-2) will play the host Warsaw Tigers (11-8-2) at noon in the semi-finals. The winner will advance to semi-state finals that night at 7 p.m.

DeKalb is ranked no. 14 in the state with Warsaw coming in at no. 3 in 2A.

DeKalb is coached by Jed Freels.
