MONROE, Ind. (WANE) - Adams Central senior Dalton Combs recently signed to play college baseball at Huntington University. Combs is an outfielder/pitcher who bats and throws left-handed.

Coach Frame's Comments: Dalton's commitment is another great addition to an already outstanding recruiting class for next fall. He is a very good athlete who can play an outfield spot or first base. Because of his athletic ability we will look at him in the outfield primarily. He swings the bat from the left side which is always a positive at Forest Glen Park. He has a great work ethic which is very important in our program. We think he has a chance to have a great career at Huntington. He will have the chance to play right away and we will take a look at him on the mound as well. His high school coach, Dave Neuenschwander, is an HU grad and had a very good career here. He has done an outstanding job at Adams Central and should have one of the better team in our area this spring. Dalton is a three-sport athlete at Adams Central so he will develop quickly in college when he concentrates on one sport. He is a great fit for Huntington off the field as well. He is a very good student and is a Youth for Christ student leader at his high school. We feel very fortunate that he has decided to continue his career at HU. He comes from a close and supportive family that will have the chance to continue to watch him play. We could not be happier that he has decided to be a Forester.
