FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Dr. Geoffrey Cly from Northeast OB/Gyn talks about why endometriosis can cause infertility in women.
Endometriosis is one of the top three causes of infertility, according to the National Institutes of Health.
"It will cause scar tissue in the tubes and once the scar tissue forms in the tubes, the sperm, egg, and zygote can't flow through the tubes," Dr. Cly said.
Catching endo early is the best way to keep it from causing infertility.
"It is a result of not getting seen or taken care of early," Dr. Cly said.
