FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Ingredients:
1 (18.25 ounce) box dark chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
A few handfuls of sweetened coconut flakes
Directions:
In a bowl, combine and stir the cake mix, eggs and oil until thoroughly blended. Mix in the chocolate chips. Refrigerate dough for a minimum of 1-2 hours before baking.
Once the dough is ready and you're ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350°F.
Place a few handfuls of sweetened coconut flakes in a small bowl. Shape dough into balls and then roll them in the bowl of coconut flakes, coating them with coconut on each side.
Place dough balls 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15 minutes. Let cookies cool before enjoying.
