FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Voices of Unity Choir stopped by First News Saturday to talk about all of the excitement following their trip to China.
VOU competed against 400 other choirs from more than 90 countries last week at the World Choir Games.
They were awarded a gold medal in the Popular Choral Music category and also received a gold medal and were named Grand Champion in the Gospel and Spiritual Category.
July 30 is now Voices of Unity day. The choir was recognized at a special ceremony Friday.
The choir will perform at the 2012 World Choir Games in Cincinnati.
