FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Women from the area were working on their construction skills Saturday.
Fort Wayne Habitat for Humanity hosted a Women Build Clinic at the Lowe's on Coliseum Boulevard.
The clinic is aimed at helping women learn basic construction skills so they can help with the Women Build later this year.
"Typically we see women that are involved behind the scenes and volunteering with committees. This is just to show that women can build a house," Laurie Brumbaugh, the director of development for Fort Wayne Habitat, said.
Construction on the 5th Fort Wayne Habitat Women Build home is scheduled to start September 10.
For more information about how to get involved, contact Fort Wayne Habitat .
