Mary Bollinger received 17 citations

BERNE, Ind. (WANE) - An 82-year-old woman in Adams County is facing numerous citations after police found her driving with 17 unrestrained Amish children.
The incident happened Saturday night around 10:30, at the intersection of US 27 and State Road 218 in Berne.
An Adams County Sheriff's Deputy said he pulled over a pickup truck after he saw several kids in the back. 82-year-old Mary Bollinger was driving the vehicle containing 15 children and two adults in the bed of the truck. There were also two Amish mothers holding their infants in the cab.
Several local residents came to the scene, and helped police take the children home safely.
Police gave Bollinger 17 citations for driving with unrestrained children.
