BRYAN, Ohio (AP/WANE) -- The Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office is helping to investigate a house fire in Bryan, Ohio Thursday morning that killed two people. The Bryan Times reports three people managed to safely get out of the two-story home.
Bryan is located in Williams County, east of the Indiana state line.
According to a news release issued by the City of Bryan Fire Department, Williams County 911 received a cell phone call at 1:07 am of a fire at 316 North Beech Street. Emergency crews that arrived on the scene found a fully involved house fire with reports of people trapped on the second floor.
The fire was finally brought under control at around 3 am.
At 3:38 am, the bodies of two people were found. Autopsies will be conducted at the Lucas County Coroner's Office to positively identity the victims and to determine the manner and cause of death.
The Bryan Times reports that three people were able to escape from the two-story house.
The Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office was contacted to help with the investigation as the cause has not yet been determined.
As of Thursday afternoon, crews were still on the scene.
