Arcola celebrates 56th tractor pull

ARCOLA, Ind. (WANE) - It was a test of the engines over the weekend at the truck and tractor pull in Arcola.
The Arcola Volunteer Fire Department's Annual Super Modified Truck and Tractor Pull celebrated its 56th year over the weekend.
According to pull officials, the Arcola Tractor Pull is known as one of the best truck and tractor pulls in the nation, featuring some of the most powerful machines around in seven classes, including: street diesel pick-ups, 2wd and 4wd modified pick-ups, diesel pickups, 10,000lb hot farm tractors and semi truck pull.
The Arcola fire department also served up their world famous whole hog sausage sandwiches and other specialty foods.
