Suspects arrested in Marion murder

MARION, Ind. (WANE) - Two people are under arrest in Kentucky in connection with the murder of a Marion man on July 21.

Police have arrested Lacy Bradley, 21, of Celina, Ohio and James Griffith, 33, of Marion, Indiana on multiple charges, including two counts of Murder as well as Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. They are being held in Franklin County, Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police arrested Bradley and Griffith along with Eddie Herring, 39, of Fort Wayne, on Wednesday, July 25. Herring is not being charged in the muder.

Troopers became suspicious of the three when the registration to the vehicle they were driving returned to another vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of firearms, coins, and money.

Firearms, coins, and money had been stolen from Duwayne Lindsey's home when Lindsey was murdered in Marion. Police believe Lindsey was murdered on July 21, possibly struck in the head with a hammer several times and stabbed with a knife in his home. His body was not discovered until Friday, July 27.

The Marion Police Department learned of the recovery of the stolen items on Sunday, July 29, and the items were subsequently connected to the murder and robbery of Lindsey. Charges were subsequently filed against Bradley and Griffith for their alleged committing of the crime.
